Professional Journey
Simon began his professional journey working on large cattle farms, where he developed a strong work ethic and hands-on problem-solving ability. His career took a pivotal turn when he joined a large auction company, where he discovered a passion for real estate and gained a unique perspective on buyer psychology — observing firsthand how buyers make decisions under pressure and how to present assets in a way that maximizes interest and value.
Not long after graduating high school, Simon purchased his first investment property, sparking what would become a lifelong commitment to real estate investing and advising. He later advanced to a regional consulting firm specializing in site selection for power plants and data centers, where he worked directly with institutional investors and Fortune 500 companies. This role gave him a strategic lens into the complexities of zoning, infrastructure, and energy needs — and further shaped his ability to work on high-stakes, data-driven real estate projects.
Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for investment real estate, Simon founded SRB Property Investments, brokered by eXp Commercial. He now focuses exclusively on multifamily, mixed-use, and manufactured housing assets across Northeast Ohio. In addition to multifamily, Simon also has experience in tenant representation and investment sales for office buildings and car wash properties, giving him a diverse and well-rounded understanding of commercial real estate.
Education, Training & Designations
Simon is committed to mastering his craft through continuous education and advanced training. He has completed nearly 500 hours of formal commercial real estate coursework, building expertise in investment strategy, financial modeling, real law, marketing, development, and more.
He holds the MiCP (Master in Commercial Property) designation from the Lipsey School of Real Estate — one of the industry’s most respected credentials. This designation reflects Simon’s dedication to professional excellence and his drive to offer world-class service to clients navigating complex real estate decisions.
He is also a graduate of the eXp Commercial Academy and has completed numerous specialized courses offered through eXp Commercial’s training platform. In addition, Simon holds a certification from the Walton School of Auctioneering. Although he is not currently an auctioneer, he possesses all the required training to take the Ohio exam, which he plans to do in the near future
